NEW HOPE, Pa.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

myYearbook, the best place to meet new people and one of the 25 most-trafficked sites in the United States, today announced that its real-time, location-based stream myYearbook Chatter reached the milestone of 1 million posts per day. Since it was launched in November 2009, Chatter has fueled dramatic growth for myYearbook with visits up 81%, uniques up 23%, and page views up 83%, according to analytics service comScore. No other social network in the U.S. has grown faster over the same period.

Chatter is a discovery engine for meeting new people and playing fun games. The recent launches of the games Ask Me and Rate Me, played within the Chatter stream, have dramatically accelerated the growth of the service, as indicated in the following chart. Ask Me is a social Q&A service where users can ask each other interesting questions, and Rate Me is an image rating game where users can rate each other without leaving the stream. Both have dramatically increased the number of Chatter posts per day, and myYearbook plans to launch additional games later this month.

“Reaching 1 million posts a day is a big milestone for our strategy of building the preeminent stream experience for meeting new people,” said Geoff Cook, CEO of myYearbook. “Chatter turns the stream into a game. The Chatter stream enables users to ask each other questions, rate each other, tell rich photo stories and play other games without leaving the stream.”
